AVBCC is proud to support Conquer Cancer, the ASCO Foundation®, in advancing lifesaving cancer research. One of the ways we are helping to do this is by funding a Young Investigator Award each year.
We’re thrilled to announce that the recipient of the 2025 AVBCC-funded Young Investigator Award is Lorena Caulkins, MD, of Oregon Health & Science University! Her research explores the use of intrathecal chemotherapy to prevent immune cell effector associated neurotoxicity syndrome, a feared complication of CAR T-cell therapy.
This award is just one of nearly 100 being presented by Conquer Cancer at this year’s American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting, helping early-career physicians drive innovation in cancer care.
Thank you to our community for making this impact possible. Together, we’re empowering the next generation of cancer researchers!
